2011 Lake Kitchawan Association sponsors many community events
Annual Meeting: April 10th 4:00pm
The LKA board is asking for a large showing at the annual meeting. Please find the time to come by and get involved in the Lake Kitchawan Community. After years of volunteering, there will be some people retiring from the board this year. We appreciate everything they have done for our community. We are looking for new board members who will be energetic and helpful, contributing positive energy that we have now. Please consider taking a position on the board to help the community. Association Membership dues are collected before the meeting.
Spring Clean Up: May 1st starts at 1:00pm
-All are invited to help clean up the Beach, Playground, Parking Lot, Lieberman Garden Area, and Club house.
Bring your rakes and gloves. Over the winter the fences that were repaired last summer have taken a beaten and will need repair again. We are still looking to do a little work on the club house such as vinyl siding and repair on water room. We will need a tremendous spring clean up and are looking for a large showing. How about teenagers, they never seem to make the clean ups!?! We would also like to encourage anyone that would like to come up with a plan to improve on the monument/stairs and picnic table area. These areas could use a face lift and all suggestions are welcome. The more hands the faster the work! Pizza and beverages provided to those who contribute their time. This is also a great time to pick up your boat sticker & make sure your boat is securely locked up.
Dumpster Day: May 15th 9:00am to 4:00pm
-Lake Kitchawan Association rents a few dumpsters to help members get rid of trash. A metal recylcing dumpster is also available. Volunteers are needed to help others unload cars & load up the dumpsters. One car load per family please. This is a great time to catch-up on Association dues. If you dont already have a boat sticker you can pick one up on dumpster day.
Annual Clambake: July 23rd starts at 3:00pm
-Each year Lake Kitchawan Association throughs a big Clambake for all members of the community to enjoy. A small entrance fee covers all you can eat & drink. A mountain of fresh clams are served raw and steamed. Hot-dogs, hamburgers, chips & lots of other food & drink are also provided. The Annual Clambake is a great time for family fun, there are games for the kids and great music for everyone.
Honor Roll Re-dedication: to be determined
-Click here to learn more about the monument in our playground area. The Honor Roll serves as a way for for us to show how much we value the military service of our fellow Lake Kitchawan Association members.
MAKE YOUR OWN PARTY
-Contact us to reserve the club house for your own gathering. The club house features 2 restrooms, kitchen & large main room on the first floor, a large lawn on the side and plenty of parking. Lots of openings are still available and reservations are inexpensive.
-Last year there were other big events that we are thinking of scheduling more regularly. We had a Fishing Contest & Fish Fry, a Pig Roast, Big Screen Movies on the Beach and more!
